“Transferable skills” was the theme for a fantastic workshop for 57 people on Saturday, March 30, sponsored by the Metropolitan School at The Catholic University of America. Leo Tudela, manager of strategic business planning for the U.S. Postal Service, kicked off the day with a keynote talk in which he urged participants to develop abilities in communication, leadership and influence. Then we had three great breakouts by faculty from Metro and the Master of Science in Management program: Leon Hutton about boosting one’s leadership skills, Mary Roary discussed following one’s personal calling, and Jack Yoest highlighted the importance of networking.
