We Have A Limited Number Of Scholarships Awarded On A First Come First Serve Basis

In partnership with The Office of the State Superintendent of Education, qualified Washington, D.C. residents can receive a DC Futures full-tuition scholarship toward earning a degree. A limited number of scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

Find out if you are eligible by taking these 4 simple steps:

  1. Complete the information form on this page, and choose your preferred degree. If you aren't sure what you want to study, simply select one and we can change it later.
  2. Check your email and start your application. Don't worry if you can't complete it in one sitting, our admissions counselors are here to help you.
  3. Also in the email, click on the link to schedule an appointment with an admissions counselor. We'll provide you with an application fee waiver, review the scholarship and answer any other details you would like to discuss.
  4. Review the scholarship eligibility requirements in the DC Futures Application Packet and complete the DC Futures Application. We'll send you a link in the email.

  • Create your "Applicant Portal Account" and "Start A New Application"
  • For the question, "What level are you applying for?", select "Adult & Profesional Studies Undergraduate"
  • Select whether are applying for an Associates or Bachelor Degree
  • For the question, "What is your academic school?" choose "Metropolitan School of Professional Studies"

DC Futures Important Deadlines

Applicants planning to use DC Futures funding from OSSE must complete an admissions application by August 4, 2023. Applications completed after 4pm on August 4, 2023 will be reviewed for the Fall 2023 semester. Fall classes begin May 8, 2023.
  • Final day to submit the application: August 4, 2023
  • All application items must be received by August 11, 2023. 
  • A final list of DC Future awardees will be submitted to the financial aid office on August 21, 2023. 
  • Classes start Monday, August 28, 2023.
